Loyola Leads All On 2009 MAAC All-Academic Team

Feb. 19, 2009

Edison, N.J. - Loyola's Swimming and Diving teams added 15 women and eight men to the 2009 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference All-Academic Team, leading all schools on the list. To be eligible, a student-athlete must complete two semesters and hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale.

The women's team was also recognized on the SPEEDO Academic All-American list for having a team grade point average of 3.22 in the fall semester of 2008. The College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) sponsors the awards and collects data each semester from college swim teams to produce the list. Teams must average a 3.00 grade point average or higher to make the list.
