• Loyola and Boston University enter Friday's match tied for third in the Patriot League standings with matching 2-1-1 League records.Â
• Neither team has faced the same conference foe yet, as the Greyhounds own victories against Army West Point and Navy and the Terriers have beat Holy Cross and American. Loyola also played Colgate to a double-overtime scoreless tie, while Boston University did the same against Lafayette.Â

Loyola Greyhounds (6-3-1, 2-1-1 Patriot League)
• Barry Sharifi was named the Patriot League Midfielder of the Week after helping the Greyhounds to a 2-0 win at Army West Point Sunday night. Sharifi had a hand in both of Loyola's goals, starting the scoring in the 20th minute to mark just the fourth first-half goal Loyola has scored this season, before assisting Josh Fawole's second-half insurance goal. Â
• Loyola is outscoring its Patriot League competition 6-2 this year, while the Greyhound also have a 56-32 advantage in shots and a 33-7 edge in corner kicks in League games.Â
• Two of Loyola's three losses are to teams that have received votes in the national poll this year, while the Greyhounds' lone tie was to Colgate, a team ranked 24th nationally this week.
• Brian Saramago, a MAC Hermann Trophy Award Watch List honoree, leads the Greyhounds with 15 points on five goals and five assists. He recorded his first multi-assist game in the season opener and then netted his second career hat trick vs. the Mount. He had a four-point game at Navy, scoring once and assisting two other goals.Â
• Barry Sharifi is second on the team with three goals and two assists for eight points.Â
• Jake Dengler scored Loyola's first goal of 2018, heading in Gabriel Carlsson's corner kick vs. Rutgers, before Sharifi and Morgan Lussi added insurance goals vs. the Black Knights.
• Mason scored the game-winner at St. John's, and Saramago and Carlsson added goals at UConn.Â
• Brown, Saramago, Sharifi and Nico Brown all scored at Navy, marking the most goals the Greyhounds have scored in one game this season, while Sharifi and Fawole scored at Army.
• Chase Vosvick has played all 941 minutes and has tallied 24 saves this season, including one on a penalty kick at Villanova. He's allowed seven goals, recorded five shutouts, has a 0.67 goals-against average and a .774 save percentage.Â
Boston University Terriers (4-5-1, 1-2-0 Patriot League)
• Boston University is coming off a double-overtime scoreless draw with Lafayette, where the Terriers outshot the Leopards 18-6 through the contest and had a 6-2 edge in shots on goal.Â
• The Terriers are outscoring Patriot League opponents 4-3 this year, earning wins over American and Holy Cross. Boston fell to Lehigh and earned the draw vs. Lafayette.Â
• Matt McDonnell leads the Terriers with six goals and 12 points this year, while Satchel Cortet, Kari Petursson and Austin D'Anna all have two goals. Both of Cortet's game in League play.
• Mike Bernardi and William Bonnelyche have both logged time between the pipes for the Terriers, with Bernardi playing 764 minutes and Bonnelyche starting and playing four non-conference games.
• Bernardi has allowed 10 goals for a 1.18 goals-against average, while he's stopped 36 shots for a .783 save percentage. Bonnelyche has a 2.13 GAA and .526 save percentage.
Series History
• Loyola is 2-3-2 all-time against Boston University and 1-2-2 since the two teams joined the Patriot League for the 2013 season.Â
• Barry Sharifi broke the Terriers' 378 minute shutout streak in League games in the 19th minute of last year's meeting, while Mickey Watson scored the eventual game-winning goal 90 seconds later in a 2-1 Greyhound victory at Nickerson Field.Â
