BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland men's tennis swept the three doubles matches to take an early lead in Wednesday's match, and the Greyhounds used the advantage for a 4-3 victory over Dickinson College at the McClure Tennis Center.
Kyle Gower and
Benny Glezer beat Leonid Sorkin and Justin Pace, 7-5, while
C.J. Cash and
Skyler Gates got past Joey Bolanos and Andrew Lai, 6-4.
Edik Pribitkin and
Colin Kanuch swept Bryce Perritt and Jordan Haber, 6-0, to complete the doubles sweep.
Glezer, Kanuch and
Nate Ferro won in singles action, securing the victory for Loyola.
At the No. 2 spot, Glezer eased past Bolanos, 6-1, 6-1, while Kanuch knocked off Berritt, 6-0, 6-4, at No. 5. Ferro then beat Vincent Tover Dias in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3, in the No. 6 match.
Sorkin dealt Gower a 6-3, 6-1 defeat at No. 1, while Pace was a 6-1, 6-3 winner over Pribitkin at No. 3. Lai downed
Colin Corsini, 6-4, 6-3, in the No. 4 contest.
