BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's swimming and diving teams both earned Scholar All-America Team honors from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) on Tuesday, and the men's team was recognized for having the seventh-highest grade-point average in all of NCAA Division I.
The men's team finished the fall semester with a cumulative 3.48 GPA, a mark behind only Grand Canyon University, Harvard University, Georgetown University, the University of Alabama, Columbia University and Binghamton University.
Loyola's women posted a 3.50 GPA and were ranked among the top-50 teams in the nation.
The Greyhounds will be back in the pool Wednesday, January 23, when they host their penultimate home meet of the season against Towson University at 5 p.m.
