Devin Cronin,
Emily Koegl and
Emma Schouten broke their own school records as the Loyola University Maryland men's and women's swimming and diving teams broke five school records in the third day of the Patriot League Swimming and Diving Championships at Kinney Natatorium on the campus of Bucknell University.
Cronin, who finished third in 100-breaststroke, broke her own mark in the prelims with a time of 1:01.93. In the finals, she recorded the second-fastest time in program history with a time of 1:02.32; she had previously owned the school record at 1:02.69.
While finishing fourth in the 100-butterfly, Koegl posted a time of 54.88. Like Cronin, she had broken her own school record in the prelims with a time of 54.27. Koegl had owned the previous record of 55.57.
Sophomore
Emma Schouten finished fifth in the 400 I.M., breaking her own school record with a time of 4:23.35. It marked the second day in a row that Schouten set a school record; she also broke her own record in the 500-free on Thursday.
Both of the Greyhounds' men's and women's 200-free relay teams set school records as well.

Reid Hussey teamed up to take third place in the 200-free relay with a school record time of 1:20.65. They broke the record that was set in 2009.
Cronin, who broke the record in the 100-breaststroke, was also part of the women's 200-free relay team which took fifth place and set a school record. Sophomore

Faith Tyranski and freshman
Sophie Jahan joined Cronin as the quartet broke the school record with a time of 1:34.28, besting the old record of 1:34.39 set in 2014.
Junior Annie Hayburn also contributed to the Greyhounds' cause as she finished 10th in the 100-butterfly (55.19).
In the 100-breaststroke, freshman
Abby Andrews took ninth place (1:05.20) while freshman
Elizabeth Walsh was 13
th in the 100-backstroke (56.28).
For the men's team, senior
John Callaghan took fourth place in the 100-breaststroke (54.37). Junior Jay Venit finished 11
th (55.82).
Sophomores
Conor Rutigliano and
Mark Boran finished 11
th and 13
th respectively in the 100-backstroke. Rutigliano posted a time of 50.20 while Boran had a time of 50.72.
In the one-meter diving, freshman
Jeremy Unanue took 13
th place with 201.65 points.
Freshman
Sung Lee led the Greyhounds in the 100-butterfly as he finished eighth (48.89). Hussey was ninth in the 400 I.M. (3:56.48).
In the 200-free, Anderson took 15
th place with a time of 1:41.00.
Entering the final day of competition at the Patriot League Meet, both the Loyola men's and women's teams stand sixth in the standings.
The Loyola women's team has 184 points entering the final day. Navy leads the competition with 606 points while Army West Point is second (333 points). Host Bucknell is third (316), just ahead of Boston University (302), Lehigh (284), and Loyola.
In the men's competition, Loyola has 198 points. Navy stands first (756) while Army West Point is second (538). Bucknell is third (290), just head of Lehigh (246), Boston (238) and Loyola.
The Patriot League Championships resume on Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
