Final Results
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. - Sophomore
Evan Brown and the Loyola University Maryland golf team both turned in the second-best round scores through today's final round of the Rutherford Intercollegiate at Penn State Golf Course to climb up the leaderboards into a tie for fourth individually and eighth as a team.

With a 4-under 67, Brown moved up 10 spots on the individual leaderboard to finish tied for fourth at 2-under 211. The top-five finish marks his fourth in five tournaments this spring.

In addition to Brown's 67, sophomore
Brandon Berry turned in a 73, classmate
Nick Mejia shot a 74 and junior
Preston Ball finished with a 75 to help the Greyhounds jump Oakland and Georgetown on the team leaderboard with a 2-over 284 today.

Berry finished the tournament tied for 23rd at 6-over 219, while Mejia was tied for 52nd with a 13-over 226. Ball and sophomore
Brett Inserra, playing as an individual, were one stroke back of Mejia and tied for 55th with matching 227s, and freshman Matthew Malits placed in a tie for 69th at 21-over 234.

The hosts, Penn State, won the team title with a 3-over 855. Eastern Michigan trailed the Nittany Lions by two strokes, while West Virginia took third with a 10-over 862. Connecticut placed fourth at 11-over 863 and Seton Hall was fifth at 21-over 873.

Loyola finished eighth, at 29-over 881. The Greyhounds were three stroke back of Minnesota, which finished sixth at 26-over 878, and two strokes behind seventh-place Rutgers (879, +27).

UConn's Drake Hull held a one-stroke advantage over William & Mary's David Hicks to claim medalist honors with a 5-under 208. Penn State's Ryan Davis finished third, and one stroke behind Hicks, with a 3-under 210.

The Greyhounds will now turn their attention to the Patriot League Championships. The conference tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday, April 27-28, at Colgate University in Hamilton, New York.
