Brown Named To PING All-Northeast Region Team

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - Loyola University Maryland sophomore Evan Brown was named to the Division I PING All-Northeast Region team, as announced by the Golf Coaches Association of America.
 
Brown, a League-best five-time Patriot League Golfer of the Week this year, earned All-Patriot League First Team honors after finishing tied for fourth at the conference championships in April. The top-five finish marked his fourth-straight and his fifth of the six spring tournaments.
 
For the season, the Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, native played in all 11 tournaments and through all 33 rounds. He led the team with a 72.24 stroke average and shot 18 rounds at par-or-better, including finishing nine rounds in the 60s. His turned in his low-round of 67 through the first round of the Loyola Intercollegiate and ultimately ended up winning the event for his first collegiate victory.
 
Brown's score counted through all 18 rounds of the spring season, where he led the team with a 70.61 stroke average. In addition to winning the Loyola Intercollegiate, he finished third at the Golden Horseshoe Intercollegiate, tied for third at the Princeton Invitational and tied for fourth at the Rutherford Intercollegiate and the Patriot League Championships.
