BALTIMORE – Josh Fawole and Barry Sharifi became the first Loyola University Maryland men's soccer players chosen in the MLS draft since 2009 earlier this month, with Fawole taken in the second round by DC United while Sharifi was a third-round selection by New York Red Bulls.

Both left for their respective training camps last weekend. Prior to their departure, they took some time to reflect on how their experience at Loyola led them to the professional stage.
