Swimming and Diving Programs Earn CSCAA Scholar All-America Team Accolades

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America released its Scholar All-America Teams for the Fall 2019 semester, with Loyola University Maryland's women's and men's programs among those recognized.

A record 762 programs from 480 institutions were honored after totaling a 3.0 grade-point average or higher last semester. 

The Loyola women combined for an impressive 3.59 GPA in the fall. A total of 15 Greyhounds posted a 3.80 or higher, with Allison Echeverria, Kyle Gunzy, Anne Hayburn, Emily Koegl, Maggie Manchester and Alexa Stewart all recording perfect 4.0's.

The men registered a strong collective GPA of 3.30. Twelve were at 3.80 or higher, with Casey Brown, James Hayburn, Brian Hess and Jack Still posting 4.0 averages.

Eight of the Patriot League's 10 institutions had both swim programs recognized.

Loyola is back in action this Saturday, hosting Mount St. Mary's on Senior Day at 1 p.m.
