KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Loyola University Maryland senior goalkeeper
Chase Vosvick was one of 34 players nationally selected to the MAC Hermann Trophy Watch List for the 2020-21 season, United Soccer Coaches and the Missouri Athletic Club announced on Thursday.
The MAC Hermann Trophy is the most prestigious individual award in college soccer and is presented annually to the most outstanding male and female players of the year in Division I. Loyola, which has won 10+ games in each of the last three seasons, has had four selections to the trophy's Watch List dating back to 2018.
Vosvick (Phoenix, Md./Montverde Academy {Fla.}) has earned United Soccer Coaches first team All-Region status three years in a row, and he was honored as the Patriot League's Goalkeeper of the Year in both 2017 and 2018. He will enter the spring season with a career-long shutout streak of 303 minutes after wrapping up the 2019 campaign with three-consecutive clean sheets.
For his career, Vosvick is 29-16-4 overall with 19 shutouts, 139 saves, a 1.04 goals-against average and a .724 save percentage. He has made 50 career starts in goal, helping Loyola become the first team in Patriot League men's soccer history to claim at least a share of three-straight regular season conference championships.
Vosvick was named the Patriot League's Rookie of the Year in 2017 after posting an 11-5-1 record with seven clean sheets. He followed up that performance with a 10-4-1 mark in 2018, posting another seven shutouts while setting career-bests in GAA (0.72) and save percentage (.782).
Vosvick has limited opponents to one goal or fewer in 21 of his 23 career starts at Ridley Athletic Complex. He was one of three Patriot League student-athletes named to this year's Hermann Trophy Watch List, joining Lehigh's Josh Luchini and Navy's Matt Nocita.
Schedule information for the 2021 Loyola men's soccer season will be released in the coming days.
