WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest won its fourth-straight game on Tuesday night as the 2020 NCAA Quarterfinalists shut out Loyola, 7-0, at Spry Stadium.
Julian Kennedy scored three times, while Colin Thomas added a goal and two assists the Demon Deacons (9-4-1 overall).
Rolad Mitchell got the scoring started for Wake Forest with a tally in the 12
th minute, and Kennedy scored his first with less than three minutes to go before halftime.
Omar Hernandez made it a 3-0 Demon Deacons lead in the 48
th minute before Thomas scored 11 minutes later. Kennedy added his last two goals before Oscar Sears scored the final.
Wake Forest outshot the Greyhounds (6-6-2), 13-6, putting 12 of its shots on frame.
Loyola will be back in action on Saturday afternoon when it plays at Colgate in a 4 o'clock start.
