Loyola University Maryland golf will host the Hamptons Intercollegiate, a 54-hole event at the Maidstone Club, for the second time Monday and Tuesday, October 4 and 5. The Greyhounds first welcomed teams to the East Hamptons, New York, course in 2019 when they finished second to Oregon State.
This year's event will feature 12 teams, including five ranked in Golfweek's top 100 collegiate teams, three in the top 30.
Teams will play 18 holes on Monday morning with a shotgun start beginning at 9 a.m., followed by another 18 that afternoon. Players will then wrap up the tournament on Tuesday with the final round.
Maidstone is one of the premier courses on the East Coast, opening in 1891 before being expanded to 18 holes in 1899; Ben Crenshaw completed extensive renovations on the course in 2012. The club was ranked No. 37 in Golf Magazine's "Top 100 courses in the U.S." and No. 67 in "Top 100 courses of the world."
