Loyola University Maryland men's basketball unveiled its renovated locker room recently to the 2021-2022 Greyhounds and a group of donors who provided 100-percent of the philanthropic resources for the impressive project.

“From the beginning of my time here at Loyola, we have talked about our culture of ‘Embracing the Journey’ and being ‘Loyola GREAT’ in everything that we do," said Head Coach Tavaras Hardy. "Loyola and a very generous group of donors set forth to showcase those pieces of our program by helping us create a great new space for our team. I am proud that this locker room highlights our current team, many alumni and gives our players a space to both relax and come together to strengthen our team bonds.

The locker room will be the home for the current and future Greyhounds at Reitz Arena. It features custom lockers, a nutritional bar area and increased seating. The renovated space also has several multimedia features with multiple television sets for player entertainment, film review, lounge area and fully customized sound system.

Walls and other spaces throughout the locker room are covered with graphics that highlight former All-Americans, Loyola's Division I NCAA Tournament teams, Greyhounds who are or have played or coached in the NBA, recent all-conference players and much more.

Donors to the project and other supporters of the program are recognized throughout the locker room in unique ways that help tie past Greyhounds to the current team.
