BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland senior Kateri Martin was named the Patriot League Women's Tennis Player of the Week on Wednesday after going 2-0 in both No. 1 singles and doubles last week during a pair of Greyhounds victories.
 
On Saturday, she beat Salisbury's Veronica Cuellar, 6-1, 6-1 at No. 1 singles, and she teamed with Abigail Thornton for a 6-0 victory against Cuellar and Katherine Tamesis.
 
The following afternoon, Martin beat La Salle's Isa Leano, 6-0, 6-3 after she paired with Thornton for a 6-3 victory at No. 1 doubles against Lauren Landstrom and Leano.
 
Martin, who is 3-1 overall this year in both singles and doubles, is a two-time All-Patriot League First Team honoree. The award is the second of her career.
