BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland's swimming and diving teams placed first in every contested event on Saturday, as the Greyhounds rolled to a pair of dual victories over American at Mangione Pool.

The women posted a 146-70 victory over the Eagles, while the final margin on the men's side was 137-57. Reid Hussey contributed to three event wins, including a school-record performance in the 100-yard individual medley. Dylan Champagne, Lily Mead and Stella Meyerhoeffer each added a pair of individual victories in the pool.

Hussey's 100 IM time of 50.93 was over a half-second under the previous program mark of 51.62, which was established by Zeke Wolfgang on March 16, 2019. Hussey (50.22) also beat out teammate Matt Voight (54.59) in the 100 backstroke, and he teamed with Caleb Kelly, Jimmy Hayburn and Jonathan Brooks for a victorious time of 1:21.78 in the 200 freestyle relay.

Champagne took first place in both the 200 and 500 free events. His 200 free mark of 1:43.68 was well ahead of teammate Kyle Lo (1:50.41), while his 500 free time of 4:43.59 edged out Mark Boran (4:44.98).

The Greyhound men had the top three finishers in four individual events, including both sprint free races. In the 50 free, Kelly (20.54) beat out Hayburn (21.02) and Brooks (21.58) and the order in the 100 free was Casey Brown (47.70) followed by Colin Anderson (48.05) and Sean Keller (49.61).

Brooks touched the wall first in the 100 butterfly, as his mark of 49.77 placed him ahead of Sung Lee (49.95) and Kelly (50.84). Loyola had the top eight finishers in the 100 breaststroke, led by Brian Hess (57.37), Alex Grahor (58.75) and David Sears (59.10).

John Nguyen was second behind Hussey in the 100 IM with a time of 53.08, and he teamed with Conor Rutigliano, Joey Cholish and Ryan Atwood for a first-place mark of 1:34.58 in the 200 medley relay to begin the afternoon. 

Dan Faunce was unopposed in the diving competitions, and he set season-best scores in both the 1-meter (212.47) and 3-meter (198.60) competitions.

Meyerhoeffer was part of three victories for the Greyhound women. She began the day teaming up with Elizabeth Walsh, Emma Schouten and Alana Andress for a first-place time of 1:48.85 in the 200 medley. Individually, she completed the 50 free in 25.32 to beat out Alison Prushinski (25.47) and Jen DeGroat (25.66), and her time of 59.95 was just ahead of Prushinski (1:00.60) in the 100 back.

Mead's winning performances came in the 100 IM (57.88) and 100 fly (56.25), and her mark of 1:05.06 in the 100 breast was second behind Schouten (1:04.63).

Walsh added an individual victory in the 100 free, touching the wall in 53.94 to beat out teammate Sarah Abril (56.25), and she added a second-place finish in the 100 IM (1:00.25).

Loyola also claimed the top two spots in the 200 free (Izzy Barnette – 1:59.47, Lauren Joyce – 1:59.98) and 500 free (Joyce – 5:15.11, Andress – 5:19.72).

Jessica Stolfi (201.44 points), Lily Bistline (168.90) and Regan Bruno (166.65) were the lone competitors in the 3-meter dive, while Stolfi (193.65) and Bistline (184.12) were the top finishers in the 1-meter.

Michelle Lebed, DeGroat, Elena Mugno and Joyce concluded the meet with a first-place time of 1:44.16 in the 200 free relay.

Loyola is back at Mangione Pool next Saturday, hosting Villanova at 1 p.m.
