Kelly, Still Receive Patriot League Weekly Swimming & Diving Awards

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Patriot League released its weekly awards for swimming and diving on Tuesday afternoon, with Loyola University Maryland accounting for both honorees on the men's side.

Caleb Kelly earned his first Swimmer of the Week accolade for the Greyhounds, while Jack Still was named Diver of the Week for a fourth time this spring. Loyola's men's program won 14 of 16 events at Bucknell on Saturday, defeating the Bison by a final margin of 203-97.

Kelly (Lafayette Hill, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) contributed to four of those event victories, including individual wins in both sprint freestyle races. His time of 20.26 in the 50 free is a new season-best which ranks No. 2 among Patriot League swimmers this season, while his mark of 45.02 was nearly two seconds ahead of the next-closest finisher. Kelly is ranked sixth overall in the conference in the 100 free. He also swam during a pair of victorious relays, anchoring the 200 medley and leading off the 400 free.

Still (Carlisle, Pa./Boiling Springs) had the highest combined points total of all divers on Saturday, as his combined score of 520.50 points just edged out Bucknell's William Cadwallader (520.13). Still's first-place score of 270.15 points in the 1-meter was just off his season-best effort of 270.70 which ranks fourth in the conference, and he took second place in the 3-meter with 250.35 points, just 1.43 points back of Cadwallader.

The Greyhounds are back at Bucknell to conclude their season on April 24-25, as they will face the host Bison and American in a Patriot League Challenge Meet.
