2021-22 Schedule

BALTIMORE – Loyola University Maryland's swimming and diving program announced its 2021-22 schedule on Wednesday afternoon, with the Greyhounds' first dual set to take place at American on Saturday, October 9.

Following the annual Green vs. Grey (9/25) and Alumni (10/2) meets, Loyola will face the Eagles on the road to begin a season for a second time in the last three years. That will be the lone competition away from Mangione Pool, as the Greyhounds' home opener vs. Lehigh on October 16 begins a stretch of eight-straight home meets leading up to the Patriot League Championships.

The fall semester includes home duals against Lafayette (10/23) and Colgate (11/6), while Loyola will also host both the Thomas Murphy (10/29, 10/30) and H2ounds (12/3, 12/4) Invitationals prior to the New Year.

Action resumes in January with matchups against Bucknell (1/14), Towson (1/19) and Mount St. Mary's (1/29) to conclude the regular season. 

The Greyhounds then head to Navy for the Patriot League Championships from February 16-19. Loyola had a pair of individual champions at the last contested conference meet in 2020, with Jimmy Hayburn winning the 50-yard freestyle while Devin Cronin took first in the 100 breaststroke. The men's program's third-place finish in the team standings was Loyola's highest since joining the Patriot League.

The 2022 ECAC Championships are scheduled for Feb. 25-27. Georgia Tech hosts the 2022 NCAA Championships, with the women's meet set to take place from March 16-19 while the men will follow from March 23-26.
