NORFOLK, Va. –
Abby Hamilton had 11 kills, and
Katie Forsythe picked up 26 digs on Friday morning for the Loyola University Maryland volleyball team, but West Virginia University dealt the Greyhounds a 25-15, 25-21, 25-16 loss in the season-opener for both teams at the ODU Invitational.
The Greyhounds will return to the court at 4 p.m. on Friday to face Hampton University in their second contest on the tournament.
Forsythe led all players with her 26 digs in just three sets, and Hamilton logged her 17
th-straight game with 10 or more kills.

Caitlin Churney turned in six kills, while freshman
Maya Dudockin made her collegiate debut with five kills on just seven swings, hitting .714 in the match.
Kacy Sekunda led the Greyhounds with 18 assists, and
Adara Kellogg had a team-best two blocks.
