Baltimore, MD -- The Loyola Greyhounds men's soccer team hosted the St. Joseph's Hawks on Tuesday night for a non-conference matchup. Despite out-shooting the Hawks 14-9, the Greyhounds would tie the Hawks 0-0.
In the first half, both teams had good chances on net, including a shot by
Richie Nichols, and a pair of shots by
Daniel Tshiani, but the Greyhounds could not find the net. The Hawks also had some attempts on net, but
Alex Bobocea made a diving save to keep it 0-0 at half.
In the second half, the Greyhounds were the aggressors offensively, as they out-shot the Hawks 7-2 in the second half. Once again, despite the numerous attempts, the Greyhounds once again could not find the back of the net, as their defense slowed the Hawks down, as they tied 0-0.
Loc San led the team with 5 shots, while
Daniel Tshiani had 4 shots of his own on the night.
Alex Bobocea had 2 saves on the night, en route to his 5th shutout of the season.
