Baltimore, MD -- The Loyola Greyhounds women's soccer team hosted the Boston Terriers on Saturday afternoon. After a first half Terriers goal, the Greyhounds could not overcome the Terriers lead as they lost 3-1.
The Terriers had the advantage in the first half, as they out-shot the Greyhounds 5-2. The Terriers were able to convert in the first half, as Marli Rajacich scored in the 39th minute to make it a 1-0. Neither team could add to the score before half, as the Terriers took a 1-0 halftime lead.
In the second half, Boston added to their lead early in the half, as Morgan Fagan scored in the 52nd minute to make it 2-0 Terriers. They would go on to add another goal in the 68th minute, on a goal from Jenna Oldham, as they took a 3-0 lead. The Greyhounds would cut the lead down to 3-1, as
Ada Clare Tempert scored, after
Baylee DeSmit flicked the ball onto her, after
Paige Sim played a perfect long ball. The Greyhounds could not cut into the lead anymore, as the Greyhounds lost 3-1.
Ada Clare Tempert added her 3rd goal of the season, as
Baylee DeSmit added her 7th assist of the season.
Paige Sim had her first assist of her career, while also tallying 3 saves.
The Greyhounds will wrap up the regular season on Wednesday with a home matchup against American.
