Baltimore, MD -- The Loyola Greyhounds women's soccer team hosted the Holy Cross Crusaders on Saturday afternoon for Senior Day. Senior Forward,
Ada Clare Tempert scored the game-winner late to give the Greyhounds a 1-0 win.
In the first half, the Greyhounds had most of the momentum, as they out-shot the Crusaders 5-2.
Sarah Mirr had the best look at goal for the Greyhounds, but a diving stop by the Crusaders goalie kept it scoreless in the first half, as teams battled to a 0-0 tie at halftime.
The second half was much like the first, as the Greyhounds out-shot the Crusaders 5-3.
Baylee DeSmit had the best look at goal, but once again, the Crusader goalie made a diving stop to keep the Greyhounds scoreless. Finally, in the 78th minute, the Greyhounds managed to put together a picture perfect build-up, that resulted in a
Ada Clare Tempert goal, with an assist from
Gillian Borton and
Baylee DeSmit. From there, the Greyhounds would hold on as they went on to win 1-0, to add another shut-out on the season.
Paige Sim had a quiet day on Senior Day, as she had just one save on the day, as she saw one lone shot on goal. Sim tallied her 7th shutout of the season, tying a personal best for a season.
