WEST POINT, N.Y. – Loyola University Maryland volleyball won the final three sets Saturday afternoon to take a 22-25, 25-18, 25-16, 25-18 decision over host Army West Point.

Megan Bukala (12) and
Sophie Brenner (12) combined for 42 kills as the Greyhounds hit .242 in the match, .308 in the final three sets. Link had a double-double with 21 digs, and she added four service aces..
Loyola never trailed in the second set and stretched a 9-9 tie into a 22-13 lead. Bukala had five kills in the second, while Link and Brenner each had four. Army West Point then had several two-point leads early in the third set, but the Greyhounds turned an 8-6 deficit into a 14-10 lead on a block by Link and
Adara Kellogg. The Greyhounds then never trailed in the fourth set to close out the win.
Ashley Dwyer had a match-high 41 assists, while
Katie Forsythe led all players with 28 digs. Forsythe became the first player in Loyola and Patriot League history, and the 21st in NCAA Division I history with 2,500 digs in a career.
Loyola returns to Reitz Arena on Saturday, October 15, to start a five-match homestand. The Greyhounds will host Lehigh at 4 p.m. on Saturday.
