EASTON, Pa. –
Lauren Link and
Megan Bukala had a career-high numbers in kills on Friday night for Loyola University Maryland, but the Lafayette College volleyball defeated the Greyhounds, 25-23, 29-27, 23-25, 25-16, on Friday night in Patriot League action.
The pair were two of four Greyhounds (10-11 overall, 8-6 Patriot League) who had double-digit kill figures with Link putting away 25 and Bukala 15.
Sophie Brenner and
Cecylia Guye each added 10 kills.
The Leopards, however, hit .224 to the Greyhounds' .162 and squeezed out two-point wins in the first two sets before closing with a nine-point margin in the fourth.
Katie Forsythe had a season-best 31 digs in the match, while
Ashley Dwyer passed out a season-high 53 assists. Link added 19 digs, Dwyer had 13 and
Ally Bauer picked up 12.
Loyola will continue its road trip at 5 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, when it plays at Bucknell University
