LEWISBURG, Pa. – Loyola University Maryland volleyball clinched the No. 4 seed in the upcoming Patriot League Championships and will host a quarterfinal match on Tuesday, November 15, despite a Saturday evening setback to Bucknell University, 25-22, 25-21, 26-28, 27-25.
The Greyhounds clinched the four seed by virtue of the tie-breaking procedures set in place by the Patriot League, clinching the scenario with their third-set win on Saturday.
Last weekend, Loyola clinched its fourth bid to the Patriot League Championships in as many full seasons. The Greyhounds will host the Bison in the quarterfinal.
Lauren Link finished with 24 kills, the second-most in her three-year career and one off her high set last night against Lafayette College.
Katie Forsythe added 21 digs, and
Rose McDermott had 16, a new career-best.
Loyola will close the regular-season on Saturday, November 12, when it hosts the U.S. Military Academy at 4 p.m.
