ANNAPOLIS, Md. –
Lily Mead took second in an individual race, leading the Loyola University Maryland men's and women's swimming and diving teams on the final day of the 2022 ECAC Championships where the men finished sixth and the women eighth.
Mead raced to her second-place finish in the 200-yard breaststroke with a time of 2:14.81 and was just out-touched by Penn's Anna Boeckman in 2:14.75.
The men's 400-yard freestyle relay –
Zach Reid,
Joe Zellner,
Alex Grahor and
Patrick Hayburn – came in fourth in 3:02.70, while the women's group of
Avery Stimmel, Michelle Leved,
Emily Colyar and
Remmi Shaw were 10
th (3:37.97) in the championship finale.
Tie Manuel took seventh in the men's 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:52.08, an event in which
Michael McMahon was 15
th (1:57.20).
Jonah Goodman led three Greyhounds men in the final of the 1,650-yard freestyle, taking eighth in 16:02.80.
Matt Gray was 11
th in 16:08.50 with
Tommy Noone finishing 13
th in 16:31.30.
Kylie Preihs scored with a ninth-place finish in the women's 1,650-yard freestyle, swimming a time of 18:13.03. Carolina Suarez was 10
th in 18:17.37, and
Elizabeth Fetherston finished 13
th in 18:39.68.
Patrick Hayburn scored in his third individual event at the championships, going 46.09 to take 15
th in the men's 100-yard freestyle.
