STATE COLLEGE, Pa. –
Brett Inserra's final-hole birdie on Sunday afternoon moved him into the top-20 overall to lead the Loyola University Maryland golf team at Penn State University's Rutherford Intercollegaite.
Inserra posted a four on the 519-yard, par-5 to drop his 54-hole score to 7-over par overall and 4-over on during Sunday's final round.
Only three players had under-par score for the tournament with just one under the mark during a windy final round on Sunday.
Inserra was 5-over through 12 holes on Sunday before running off five pars in a row. He birdied the final hole of his round, the Penn State Blue Course's ninth, for his final total.
The Greyhounds tied for 10
th overall, matching Connecticut's 44-over par.
Brandon Berry tied for 35
th individually at 10-over par.
Connor McGarrity had the Greyhounds' best round on Sunday, shooting 3-over, to finish tied for 51
st at 13-over.
