BALTIMORE – Six Loyola University Maryland men's lacrosse players earned Scholar All-America recognition from the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) as the Greyhounds received the USILA Team Academic Award, as well.
Matt Hughes,
Kevin Lindley,
Ryan McNulty,
Aidan Olmstead,
Bailey Savio and
Sam Shafer earned the individual honors with the six players marking the most in Loyola history to earn the academic accolades.
All six players competed as graduate students during the 2022 season after earning their undergraduate degrees from Loyola.
McNulty earned USILA All-America honorable mention and All-Patriot League Second Team honors as a long-stick midfielder, while Lindley was an All-Patriot League First Team honoree. Hughes, who will return to the Greyhounds in 2023, and Olmstead were members of the All-Patriot League Second Team.
Olmstead and Lindley were tabbed to the Academic All-Patriot League Team, while Olmstead was named the conference's Scholar-Athlete of the Year and earned a spot on the Academic All-America Second Team selected by CoSIDA.
