Devyne Newman scored on a mid-range jumper early in the first quarter as the Greyhounds trailed 4-2 with 7:49 left in the first quarter, but Boston University responded with a 10-0 run and did not look back, as the Greyhounds lost 100-57.
The Greyhounds had three players in double figures, as
Lex Therien had 14 points,
Devyne Newman with 13 points, and
Taleah Dixon with 12 points.
Dixon knocked down a three-pointer off of a pass from Therien early in the second half as the Greyhounds trailed 59-34 with 8:02 left in the third quarter. From there, the Terriers stayed hot on the offensive end and were able to keep the Greyhounds well out of reach.
Boston University shot 60 percent from the field and 50 percent from three-point range as they knocked down 16 three-pointers on the afternoon. Four Terriers scored in double figures, led by Preseason Player of the Year, Sydney Johnson.
The Greyhounds will be back in action next Wednesday, as the Greyhounds host Army at 7:00 pm.
