Three Pool and Program Records Broken on Saturday, as Swimming and Diving Win Over Mount Saint Mary's

Baltimore -- Max Verheyen won two individual races on Sunday afternoon as the Loyola University Maryland swimming and diving teams competed against Mount Saint Mary's. 

The women's swimming and diving team won 189-101, while the men's team won 224-69. 

Pool and Program Records
- Max Verheyen, Pat Hayburn, and Joe Hayburn all broke both pool and program records on Sunday afternoon.
- Verheyen set the pool and program record in the 100 IM with a time of 50.03. 
- Pat Hayburn also set the pool and program record in the 50 Fly with a time of 21.46. 
- Lastly, Joe Hayburn set the pool and program record in the 50 Back with a time of 22.05. 

Verheyen Takes Two
- Verheyen won two individual events for the Greyhounds on Sunday afternoon, winning in the 200 Yard Freestyle and in the 100 Yard IM. 
- In the 200 Yard Freestyle, he won over his teammate, Harry Hearn, 1:39.94 to 1:41.15. In the 100 Yard IM, Verheyen had a narrow win over teammate Patrick Hayburn, 50.03 to 50.36. 

First Place Finishes
- The men's swimming and diving team won all but one race on Sunday afternoon. 
- In total, 10 different swimmers won individual races, with Verheyen as the lone swimmer to win multiple. 
- The women's swimming and diving team tallied8 individual race wins on Sunday afternoon, by 8 different swimmers.

Diving Sweep
- The men's and women's divers swept the diving wins on Sunday afternoon. 
- In the women's 3 meter dive, Calista Fasser won with a score of 221.85. In the 1 meter dive, Fasser also won with a score of 227.25.
- In the men's 1 meter dive, Thomas McCarthy won with a 252.15. Sam Hersick won in the 3 meter dive with a score of 263.18.

Relay Wins
- The mens 200 Yard Medley Relay team of Henry Mueller, Michael Gozdan, Patrick Hayburn, and Joey Zellner finished in first place with a time of 1:30.56. 
- To wrap up the meet, the men's 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Joe Hayburn, Hans Van Lierop, Liam Schindler, and Pierre Leroy finished in first place with a time of 1:24.76.

- The Patriot League Championships will begin on Wednesday, February 21 and will run until Saturday, February 24 in Annapolis, Maryland.
