Pat Kakayira was named the Patriot League Defender of the Week after the Greyhounds picked up an important win Saturday.
Kakayira posted a career-best two assists in the Greyhounds' 4-1 win on Saturday. The junior defender assisted on the opening goal of the game, with a cross into the box to find
Jake Sweeney for the goal.
He later assisted on
Jordy Luchies goal from just inside the midfield line for a goal that would prove to be the game-winner. Kakayira played in 72 minutes in the win, as he was also a key figure on the defensive end of the field, holding the Mountain Hawks to just three shots on goal in the game.
The Greyhounds will return to action on Saturday at 1:00 PM, when they travel to face Lafayette.
