Crowley had seven birdies and one bogey in the opening round to shoot a 6-under 66, his best round collegiately since shooting a 7-under 65 in the first round of the Loyola Intercollegiate in February.

He has shot a bogey-free 4-under on the course's back nine during the second round to get to 10-under overall for the tournament where he is tied with Virginia Commonwealth's Caden Scarbrough. That pair is one shot behind UTRGV's Juan Luis Bethencourt.

Rangel was 2-over after four holes in the first round, but he settled in with three-straight pars before birding the course's 17
th and 18
th holes to turn at even par. He posted a birdie and a bogey on his first two holes of his back nine in the first round, but he then carded birdies on two of the next three holes before posting four pars to finish the opening 18 at 2-under 70.

He eagled the 337-yard, par-4 12
th hole at the start of his second round and then wrapped two birdies around a bogey and is 4-under through 27 holes.

Roman shot 1-under during the day's first nine holes, but he eagled the 494-yard, par-5 first hole – the start of his back nine – to get to 3-under. He added a birdie on the seventh hole before a double bogey on his final of the round took him to 2-under for the 18 holes.

He came back with three pars to start his second round before scoring three birdies and a bogey on the next six; Roman is now 2-under in the second round and 4-under for the tournament.

Garrett Kessler has eight pars and a birdie to start his second round and is 59
th after 27 holes at 5-over par, and
Lorenzo Sanz is 70
th at 9-over.
Dustin Stocksdale is even through nine holes in the second round and is 62
nd while playing as an individual.
