Easton -- The Lafayette College Leopards downed the visiting Loyola University Maryland men's soccer team on Saturday afternoon, 1-0, in a defensive Patriot League matchup.
The Leopards (8-5-3 overall, 3-3-1 Patriot League) scored the lone goal of the game in the 31st minute, as a ball to McIntyre just got passed the outstretched Van der Walt for the goal.
Lafayette's defensive slowed the Greyhounds hot offense in the first half, keeping the Greyhound s(4-7-3 overall, 3-3-1 Patriot League) to just one shot in the half, as they trailed by a goal going into half.
Charlie Herley had one of the best looks of the day for Loyola in the 55th minute, but a save from the Leopards Griffin Huff kept the Greyhounds off the board.

Cole McEvoy and
Jordy Luchies each had looks for a equalizer in the second half, but could not find the back of the net, as the Greyhounds fell in a defensive battle, 1-0.
Dylan Van der Walt had a pair of saves on the afternoon for Loyola.
The Greyhounds will be back in action on Friday when they travel to face Army at 6:00 PM.
