Hamilton --
Zoe Willis scored the then-go ahead goal in the second half for the Loyola University Maryland women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon, but a late equalizer from Colgate University led to a 1-1 draw in a Patriot League matchup.
Zoe Willis scored the opening goal for the Greyhounds (4-3-4 overall, 0-1-3 Patriot League) in the 77th minute, as she chipped in the loose ball off of a Oliva Quaranta header on a corner kick, as Loyola took a 1-0 lead.
The Raiders (3-8-2 overall, 1-2-1 Patriot League) responded just four minutes later, as Ari Bezanson got behind the Loyola defense, and shot with her left foot for the goal.
Both teams had a pair of chances late in the game for the game-winning goal, but both defenses stepped up, as the game ended in a 1-1 tie.
The first half saw both teams fight for possession between the two boxes, as the offensive chances were hard to come by in the first half.
In the second half, Loyola maintained the advantage throughout most of the half, as they led in shots 9-3 in the second half, but it wasn't until Willis' goal that they found the back of the ent.
Willis scored her second goal of the season, while Quaranta picked up her second assist of the season. Mulholland had three saves on the afternoon.
The Greyhounds will be back in action on Friday, as they host Army at 7:00 PM.
