Baltimore -- Five players scored in double figures for the Loyola University Maryland women's basketball team, as they ended non-conference play with a 82-38 win over Haverford University on Monday afternoon.
With the win, the Greyhounds record their first winning record in non-conference play since the 2005-06 season when they went 5-4 in non-conference play.
Koi Sims led all players with 16 points to go along with 11 rebounds for her third double-double of the season.
Gabby Betton added a career-high 15 points on 5-9 shooting from three-point range, while
Avery Simmons also scored a career-high 13 points.
Laura Salmeron added 13 points, 4 rebounds, and 4 assists, while
Amandine Amorich had 11 points, 3 assists, and 3 steals in the win.
The Greyhounds (6-5 overall) had a strong start to the game, as they jumped out to a 11-2 lead with 4:56 remaining in the first quarter, as
Koi Sims scored on a layup off a assist from Laura Salmeron.
Loyola's momentum continued over the remainder of the first half, as they went on a 29-7 run to close out the first half, as seven different players scored during the run.
Their momentum carried over in the second half, as they shot 61.2 percent from the floor in the second half.
Gabby Betton knocked down all five of her three-pointers in the second half, as her five three-pointers were the most made by a player since
Kelly Ratigan made five at St. John's on 11/29/23.
Loyola will open up Patriot League play on Thursday in Reitz Arena, as they will host the reigning Patriot League Champion Holy Cross at 6:30 PM.
