Bethlehem -- The Patriot League announced their weekly awards for women's lacrosse on Monday afternoon, as Loyola University Maryland's Avery Ruhnke was named the Rookie of the Week. 

This is the first time Ruhnke has been named as the Rookie of the Week this season. 

Ruhnke tied a career-best with two points in the Greyhounds 17-3 win over Lafayette on Saturday. She scored her lone goal early in the third quarter, assisted by Sydni Black. She then followed it up with a assist to Anna Ruby, with 3:54 in the third quarter, as Loyola took a 15-1 lead. Ruhnke totaled 2 shots, with both coming on goal. She also added a ground ball and caused turnover on the afternoon. 

Loyola will be back at home on Wednesday, as they host No. 17 Princeton at 6:00 PM at Ridley Athletic Complex.
