BALTIMORE – The Loyola University Maryland men's and women's swimming and diving teams received Scholar All-America Team recognition this week from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for their efforts in the classroom.
The Greyhounds' women's and men's teams finished the Spring 2024 semester with cumulative grade-point averages of 3.656 and 3.530, respectively, while turning in term marks of 3.793 and 3.537.
Four Loyola swimmers –
Patrick Hayburn,
Lily Mead,
Henry Mueller and
Max Verheyen – were named to the Academic All-Patriot League teams at the end of their seasons. Verheyen was also named the Men's Swimming & Diving Scholar-Athlete of the Year in the League.
Seven Greyhounds were also to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicatiors (CSC):
Lily Bistline, Hayburn,
Harry Hearn,
Lily Mead, Mueller,
Michela Schultz and Verheyen.
A total of 68 – 36 women and 32 men – were named to the Dean's List at Loyola for the spring semester.
