Baltimore -- Hofstra University scored their first goal in the second minute on Tuesday night, as the Pride would hold off the Loyola University Maryland men's soccer team, as they went on to win 3-0.
The Pride (7-1-1 overall, 2-1 CAA) opened the game with a goal in the 2nd minute, as they switched the play from the right to left side of the field, before Hofstra's Teddy Baker fired in a shot inside the near post for the opening goal.
Hofstra had a trio of shots just four minutes later that all fell on goal, but Loyola's
Dylan Van der Walt came up big, saving all three shots as he held the Pride to the opening goal.
The last 30 minutes of the first half, the Greyhounds (0-5-3 overall, 0-1-1 Patriot League) found some momentum on the offensive end, as they outshot the Pride 7-1 over the last 30 minutes of the half.
Juston Rainey,

Sean McEvoy all had good looks on goal, but their shots were saved, as Hofstra led 1-0 at half.
McEvoy started the second half with a another look on goal, but the ball curved just wide of the goal.
The Pride would regain the momentum over the remainder of the half, as they would hold the majority of the possession over the final 25 minutes of the game.
Hofstra would add a pair of insurance goals, as they scored their second goal of the game in the 76th minute off of a cross into the box, before adding their third goal off of a penalty kick in the 79th minute, as they would go on to win 3-0.
