Princeton 3, Loyola 2 (25-20, 17-25, 27-25, 25-19, 15-12) –
Loyola took a 9-6 lead in the fifth seat after back-to-back kills from
Mariah Sanabia and
Riley Hamilton, but the Tigers rallied with seventh-straight points.
Princeton led the fifth 13-9 before
Lauren Link sided out on a kill for Loyola, and
Gabi Verdicchio served an ace to force a Tigers' timeout at 13-11.
Out of the stoppage,
Kacy Sekunda and
Kennedy Stevens had a block for the Greyhounds to bring Loyola within a point, but Princeton sided out with a kill and scored on match-point with a block.
Link put away a season-high 21 kills, hitting .302 in the process. The 21 kills mark her 11th career 20-plus kill match.
Ava Nepkin added nine kills, and Sekunda had eight along with 20 assists and 16 digs. Nepkin dug a career-high 13 balls, and Link had a double-double with 12 digs.
Old Dominion 3, Loyola 2 (26-24, 23-25, 18-25, 25-15, 15-10) –
Link posted her second 20-plus kill match of the day, but Old Dominion won the final two sets for the win.
After the Monarchs won the first set, Loyola captured the next two only to see Old Dominion come back to win the match.
Napkin had a career-best 17 kills, while Link posted 22. The duo both had double-doubles with 14 and 11 digs, respectively.
Link's 22 kills were her most since November 2023 and marked the 12th match with 20 or more kills in her career. She hit .528 against the Monarchs, a career-best average for a match in which she had 10 or more kills.
Sekunda just missed her second triple-double of the season with nine kills, 25 assists and 10 digs.
Leah Hunter had a career-high 19 digs.

Loyola will play three matches next weekend in the Tiger Invitational at nearby Towson University.
The Greyhounds are due to face the host school Friday morning at 10 a.m. before taking on Seton Hall and Coppin State on Saturday.
