LEXINGTON, Ky. – No. 12 University of Kentucky opened the game with a 23-8 lead in the first eight minutes, and the Wildcats went on to an 88-46 victory over visiting Loyola University Maryland in Rupp Arena on Friday night.
All five Kentucky players scored in double figures with Collin Chandler and Kam Williams scored 13 each.
The Wildcats shot 57.1 percent from 3-point range in the second half, knocking down 8 of 14, before ending the game at 37 percent (10 of 27).
Troy Cicero Jr. led Loyola with seven points, while
Jordan Stiemke,
Jacob Theodosiou,
Emmett Adair and
Sebastien Emenalo all scored six.
Braeden Speed had a team-high six rebounds, and
Jonas Sirtautas blocked four shots for the Greyhounds. Adair led the Greyhounds with four assists.
The Greyhounds will be back in action on Tuesday, November 25, with a 6 p.m. home game against Washington College.
