BETHLEHEM, Pa. —
Joe Hayburn was named the Patriot League Men's Swimmer of the Week for the second time in as many weeks on Tuesday after winning a pair of individual events over the weekend.
The Loyola University Maryland junior won twice on Sunday in the Greyhounds' meet at West Virginia.
He took first in the 100 backstroke (47.06) and then came back for a win in the 200 backstroke (1:43.67).
Hayburn also helped the Greyhounds win the opening 200 medley relay with a leadoff backstroke leg of 21.60 seconds. He closed the meet by swimming the third leg of the 400 free relay, posting a split of 44.32.
The award is the fifth weekly honor of his career.
