SARASOTA, Florida – A quartet of Loyola University Maryland swimmers competed in the CSCAA National Open Water Championships off the coast of Florida on Saturday morning.
 
Julia Mason swam in the women's 5k race, while Joe Hayburn, Matt Hughes and Pierre Leroy suited up for in the men's race.
 
Hughes led the Greyhounds with an 18th-place finish among NCAA Division I swimmers, clocking 55 minutes, 50.1 seconds.
 
Leroy took 29th in Division I, swimming 57:38.6, and Hayburn was 34th in 58:30.7. Mason took 47th among female Division I swimmers, clocking a time of 1:03.02.
