ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Navy broke 15-15 tie with a 14-2 run that spanned parts of the first and second quarters on Wednesday, and the Midshipmen went on to beat visiting Loyola University Maryland, 72-50, in the teams' regular-season finale.
Loyola (12-17 overall, 8-10 Patriot League) will be the No. 5 seed in the Patriot League Championships that start this weekend. The Greyhounds will play at fourth-seeded Lehigh University in the quarterfinals on Monday, March 9.

Sydney Bass three with 3:28 to play in the first quarter evened the score, but Zoe Mesuch kicked off the Navy run with a basketball and then steal and transition layup.
The Midshipmen built a double-digit lead within the first minute of the second quarter and led by 10 or more for the remainder of the game.
Amandine Amorich led the Greyhounds with 14 points, while
Lex Therien scored 10. Mesuch led all players with 21 points.
