The Matchup
  • The Greyhounds begin postseason play on Monday evening as they travel to face Lehigh in the Patriot League Quarterfinals.
  • This will be the third matchup between the two teams this season, with Lehigh winning both matchups by a combined margin of seven points.

  • Lehigh would force a foul to take a one point lead with 8 seconds remaining, as Olivia Shaughnessy had a shot at the buzzer to win the game, but the shot did not go in, as Lehigh held on for the win. 
  • Kimmie Hicks had a season-high 19 points in the game, while Lex Therien had 17 points and 10 rebounds. 

Scouting Lehigh
  • Lehigh enters the postseason with a  15-13 (11-7) record on the season as they are coming off of back-to-back losses to Bucknell and American. 
  • Lehigh's Lily Fandre joined Lex Therien on the Patriot League First Team, whileWhitney Lind was named to the Third Team. Freshman Leia Edwards, who has only played in 13 games this season, was named to the All Rookie Team. 
  • Lehigh ranks second in the Patriot League in scoring (65.7 ppg), while ranking ninth in points allowed (65.1 ppg) during the regular season. Lily Fandre leads the conference in scoring, as she is averaging 16.6 points per game. 
  • Gracyn Lovette is tied for the Patriot League lead in assists per game (4.1) this season. 
  • Belle Bramer, Lovette and Lind are all tied for fourth in the Patriot League in steals per game (1.6).

Patriot League Tournament
  • Loyola enters the tournament as the fifth seed and will travel to face the fourth seeded Lehigh Mountain Hawks.
  • The winner will face the winner of Navy vs Boston on Thursday March 12, with the higher seed hosting. 
  • Loyola and Lehigh last faced off in the Patriot League Tournament during the 2023-24 season, where they won 58-51.

  • In eight career games against Lehigh, Lex Therien is averaging 21.2 points and 12.3 rebounds per game, including seven double-doubles. 
  • Therien was named to the Patriot League First team, which marks the fourth time in her career she has been named to a All-League team (second first team selection).
