Bethlehem, PA -- The Patriot League announced their Academic Honors on Wednesday afternoon, as Loyola University Maryland's
Morgan Quade was named the Women's Lacrosse Scholar-Athlete of the Year, while
Ava Kane was named to the Academic team.
Quade earned Academic All-Patriot League honors for the first time after receiving First-Team All-Patriot League honors earlier this week. She is the sixth different Greyhound to collect the League's highest academic honor for women's lacrosse. Quade is a sophomore finance major with a 3.91 cumulative grade-point average and three-time Dean's list selection at Loyola Maryland. She earned First Team All-Patriot League honors after posting 65 points on 27 goals and 38 assists to lead the Greyhounds to the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Championship. Kane (Communication and Media, 3.90 GPA) earned her first Academic All-Patriot League honors for the first time this season. She is a senior attacker for the Greyhounds that posted 23 goals and five assists for the Greyhounds this season. Kane is one of seven players with at least 20 goals this season, as Kane helped Loyola to the No. 3 seed in the Patriot League Championship.
Loyola will take on the No. 2 seeded Army Black Knights on Thursday in the Patriot League Semifinals.
