PRINCETON, N.J. – Princeton University women's soccer built a two-goal halftime lead and added a third in the second for a 3-0 non-conference victory Thursday night over visiting Loyola University Maryland.
The loss was Loyola's first of the year after tying William & Mary and Arkansas in its first two games.
Dylan Jovanovic opened scoring in the 30th minute for the Tigers, tallying Princeton's first off assists by Stella Monberg and Kayla Wong. Isabella Garces added the game's second with helpers by Wong and Mariana Gomez in the 38th minute.
Maddie Recupero added the Tigers' third of the night in the 70th minute with a Jovanovic assist.
Hannah Goetzer made five saves in goal for the Greyhounds.
After playing three games over the season's first eight days, Loyola will take 10 days off before heading to Fairfax, Virginia, to face George Mason on August 30.
