Before Loyola: Was a standout player at Reagan High School in San Antonio, Texas… Named to the San Antonio Express-News All-Area Super Team in 2016-17 as a senior after leading the Rattlers to the District 26-6A championship… Averaged 16.8 points and 8.4 rebounds per game as a senior in earning All-Area 6A from the Express-News and All-District 26-6A First Team honors for the second-straight season… Went 10 of 12 from the field and scored 20 points in the first round of the Texas Class 6A Tournament to lead the Rattlers to a win in the state’s largest division… Scored 554 points and shot 56 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free-throw line as a senior… Over his four-year career, he scored 1,292 points and grabbed 796 rebounds in 110 games for averages of 11.7 and 7.2… As a junior in 2015-16, averaged 15.3 points and 9.9 rebounds per game for Reagan… Scored 7.7 points and had 5.8 rebounds per game as a sophomore while the Rattlers won the District 26-6A title and he was named All-District Second Team…. Played AAU basketball for SABO.

Personal: River Christian Reed… Son of Kyna and Scott Reed… Has two older sisters, Morgan and Payton… Morgan was a setter for the Baylor University volleyball team… Was a three-time Academic All-District honoree at Reagan… Grandfather, Sanford Reed, played basketball at Southwestern University, and his uncle, Ray Carroll, was a basketball player at Texas State University.
