Men's Tennis Plays Well At Bucknell Invitational

Lewisburg, Pa. - Loyola's men's tennis team played very well against some of the region's toughest competition at this weekend's Bucknell Invitational, which was played in a round-robin format.

John Curran defeated Duquesne's Adam Townsend in three sets, 3-6, 6-1, (10-8), to advance to the winner's bracket of the Flight B singles competition. Curran dropped his second round match to Marist's Ray Josephs 6-1, 6-1.

Trevor McDonough and Nick Bowers lost their first round Flight A doubles match to Bucknell, but came back to win two in a row to advance to the finals of the consolation bracket. The Loyola duo defeated Quinnipiac 8-4 and upended Duquesne in the semis before falling in the consolation finals to Marist, 8-4.
