Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's tennis team opened the spring with a tough 7-0 loss to regional power UMBC on Tuesday afternoon in south Baltimore.
Nick Bowers and Dan Schiemel lost a tough 8-3 No. 1 doubles match and then came up short in No. 1 and No. 2 singles and UMBC used a total team effort to begin the spring with a win.
The Greyhounds have their first home match of the spring this Friday when they host Morgan State at 3 p.m.
