Men's Tennis Drops First Match Of Season

College Park, Md. - The Loyola men's tennis team fell to 3-1 on the season with a 7-0 loss at Maryland on Tuesday afternoon. The Greyhounds, who fell in straight sets, played for the first time this spring.

Trevor McDonough competed at No. 1 singles and fell 6-1, 6-2 to Maryland's Ian Bliss. Nick Bowers battled in No. 2 singles, falling 6-1, 6-1. McDonough and Bowers teamed up in No.1 doubles for the Greyhounds.

Dan Schiemel played at No. 3 singles while Scott Gannon (No. 4), John Curran (No. 5) and Ben Epstein (No. 6) rounded out the Loyola lineup.

The Greyhounds travel to Morgan State for a 3 p.m. match on Wednesday afternoon.
