Baltimore, Md. - The Loyola men's tennis team improved to 4-1 this season with a win at Morgan State on Wednesday afternoon. The Greyhounds, behind straight set victories in No. 5 and No. 6 singles, earn a 5-1 win in their second spring contest of the year.
Loyola earned the doubles' point with senior Nick Bowers and sophomore Trevor McDonough taking the No. 1 doubles match 8-5. Sophomore John Curran and freshman Scott Gannon clinched the point with an 8-6 victory in No. 2 doubles.
McDonough took the No. 1 singles match in three sets while Gannon won his No. 4 singles match with a 6-4 score in the third set. Curran, who played No. 5 singles and freshman Ben Epstein, who competed at No. 6 singles, each won in straight sets.
The Greyhounds return home and host Quinnipiac on the Butler Courts this Friday at 3 p.m.
